Our house is our family tree. Years ago, my grandmother on my father's side started collecting the historical data that now makes up our family tree. I can remember many weekends that she and I spent together going through old photographs and identifying people from long ago! Of course, my mother also did a huge amount of work with her ancestry as well. All of this data not only includes the old photographs, but also newspaper clippings, obituaries, birth notices, funeral cards, letters, date books, and the occassional official government record of some sort. My good friend, Debbie, helps out and looks up all the loose ends on www.ancestry.com.
